ワークショップ終了しました。来てくださった皆さんありがとう。
前に書いていた通り、ゲームの内容はプレイヤーによって形が変わっていくということでしたが、今回はなれで行ったのはざっと以下のような感じです。

ゲームはおもちゃのキャラクターを使って、自分たちで決めたミッションを遂行するというもの。今回はなれで行ったミッションは「左京区を探せ」。ある人は学生たちが集う居酒屋の看板だったり、ある人は雑誌の中の左京区だったり、左京区で勢力のある共産党のポスターだったり...各々の解釈で探し出した「左京区」にキャラクターを配置し、携帯カメラで撮影します。

例えば・・・古本屋にて。

こうして撮影した写真はウェブ上に公開され、「クリエイティブ」や「コラボレーション」など、5つのカテゴリー別に採点され、ポイントが与えられます。今回は時間がなくてそこまで進められなかったけれど、ポイントがある程度たまるとまた何かあるみたいです。（←英語が聞き取れませんでした...ごめんなさい）

「左京区」はだいぶ地域に偏ったテーマになってしまいましたが、例えばこれが「キャラクターに旅をさせよ」とか、「ステキな場所を見つけよ」とか、どこにいてもできることだったら、世界中の人びとから個性的なアイデアが同時に集められる訳です。ネットってすごいね。ワークショップ後に気づいたけど、はなれの「景観破壊中」プロジェクトと絡めたらもっとおもしろいものになったのでは、とちょっと後悔。

そして2つ目のミッションは宝探し的にキャラクターを見つけに行くというものでした。という風に、ミッションもその答えもプレイヤーによって変わっていくというすごい流動的なゲームだったんですが、今回その趣旨を理解するのに思いっきり時間がかかってしまい、ミッションも二つしか実行できませんでした。段取りが悪くて、来てくださった皆さんには申し訳なかったです。でもこうやって海外からのお客さんを招いて一緒に何かできたことは、はなれにとっても大きな一歩だったと思います。これからもどんどん国もジャンルも関係なく、いろんなことをしていきたいなと思っています。ニッキとアナ、ありがとう！

お知らせ
ニッキとアナは15〜17日にも京都に来ます。上記のゲームを一緒にできる人を探しています。今回参加してくれた人もそうでない人も、興味のある方、協力してもいいよという方がいらっしゃったらご連絡ください。また、22日には再びはなれに遊びに来ますので、こちらも同じく興味のある方は遊びに来てください。（22日はワークショップではなく通常営業です）

9月8日（月）に、イギリスからアーティストのAna Benloch とNikki Pugh を招いて、ワークショップを行います。題して「current Emergent Game project」。日本語に直訳することが難しいのですが、ゲームを通して都市やコミュニケーション、デジタルテクノロジーについて考えるワークショップです。"Twitter"というネット上のコミュニケーション・サービス使った簡単なゲームですので、気軽にご参加ください。もちろん、英語が苦手でも問題ありません。

以下、主催者のAnna とNikkiからの説明文です。

 Emergent Gameを通して、
（1）私たちが住む街を探検・発見すること
（2）私たちの人との関わり方を検証すること
（2）デジタルテクノロジーの新しい使い方を検証すること

このゲームは参加する人々によって形づくられていくため、ゲームの進行内容をはっきりと説明することはできません。最初に過去の例とゲームの始め方の説明がありますが、その後は参加者のアイデアや関わりあいによってゲームが発展してきます。「Emergent Game」は、参加者たち自身で創造していくフレキシブルなゲームです。

「Emergent Game」は、9月にイギリスと日本で同時に匿名のプレイヤーたちによって行われます。ゲームが展開していく過程で、国も言語も異なる参加者たちがどのようにコミュニケーションをとり、関わりあうのかを探っていきます。ゲームの焦点は、イギリスで同時期に開催される大きなゲームフェスティバルに合わせ、９月１９日〜２１日の週末に各プレイヤーが挑戦するクリエーティブ・ミッションにあてられます。これには、家で行えるミッションと、公共空間で行う必要のあるミッションがあります。

Hanareのワークショップ参加者には、このゲームを実証し、今後、よりおもしろいルールを作っていくための手助けをお願いしたいと思っています。都市がどのように機能しているかを探るために、皆さんの考えや知識を提供してください。Let's Play!

AnaとNikkiはワークショップで得たアイデアを試すために、9月9〜10日と15〜17日は京都に滞在するそうです。もし興味のある方はこの日も彼女たちに協力をお願いします。詳細はワークショップ当日に。
また、彼女たちは22日にもHanareに遊びに来る予定です。次のプロジェクトにいかすために、ワークショップ参加者と意見交換したいということですので、こちらもお時間のある方は是非遊びにきてください。

On 8th of September, UK artists Ana Benloch and Nikki Pugh will come to hanare to do a workshop for their current Emergent Game project.

It's difficult to describe Emergent Game because it is shaped by the people who play it. Ana and Nikki provide a starting point and some examples, but the game evolves through the way players interact and the new ideas they bring. Emergent Game is therefore a very flexible tool for allowing groups of people to be creative together.

During September, Emergent Game will be played simultaneously by anonymous players in the UK and Japan. The aim is to find out if two separate games will evolve, or if the two groups of players can find interesting ways to communicate and interact, even though they are in different countries and speak different languages.

The focus of the game will be a weekend of creative challenges (missions) that each player must try to complete. This will be 19th - 21st of September and coincides with a big games festival happening in the UK. Some of the missions you can complete in your home, but most of the missions will need you to do something creative outside in public places.

At the hanare workshop Ana and Nikki will demonstrate how the game works and then ask you to help design some interesting missions. They need your ideas and your knowledge of how the city works. You do not need to bring any specialised equipment.

Ana and Nikki will also be in Kyoto on 9th, 10th and 15th, 16th, 17th to test some of the ideas from the workshop. You are invited to meet with them and help prepare the missions for the important weekend.

11.12ワークショップレポート/11.12 Workshop Report

パーティーのレポートが遅くなってすいません。当日は来て頂き、本当にありがとうございました！私たちの運営がイマイチな部分もあって、来てくれた人みんなとちゃんと喋れなくて、悪い事をしたな。。。と反省しています。次からはもっとパワーアップして、ホステスとして恥ずかしくない振る舞いでいきます！シルクスクリーンでイメージを印刷した人は、また感想を聞かせてくださいね。黒と白のインクで印刷した人は、アイロンを忘れないでください！！！
(写真の右上で笑っているのがKitsoneの竹内さんです。竹内さん、本当にありがとう。また一緒になにかやろうね。竹内さんの美容師としての腕前は相当凄いので、一度行ってみてください。)

今回、こういう事を始めてみて１つ思ったのは、「はなれ」としてこういうプロジェクトを始めるという一歩を踏み出したことは自分達にとって、とても大きな意味があったってこと。憲法９条を変えたくないという事を、これまでに使い古されたイメージを使うことなく、面白く世の中に出したいと思って、このイメージを作りました。世界中のいろんな人から「私も貼るし！」というメールを一杯貰って、涙を目に浮かべながら。。。作業をするめちゃくちゃ楽しい毎日でした。デザインのこととか、少し意味が伝わり難かったり、改善点を挙げればそれこそきりがない。でもあえて、始めたんもんね、と言いたい。口でいろいろ言う事は簡単だけど、私たちはそれを形にして、実際に動いていきたいと思う。このプロジェクトはこれからもっともっと、広げていきたいと思ってます。だから、こうしたら良くなるのにとか、こんなアイデアもあるよっていう改善点をどんどん教えて欲しいです。このプロジェクトを始めてから、このブログを沢山の人に読んでもらていることが分かり、めちゃくちゃ元気がでたけど、やっぱりブログを読むだけじゃなくて、実際に、一緒に動こうよ、って思ってます。そしたら凄い事になると思う。

hanareワークショップ vol.3/ hanare Workshop vol.3

hanareが「はなれ」を飛び出してワークショップ/パーティーを行います。このイメージをTシャツに印刷するワークショップをメインに、映像・音楽・ダンス、美味しいご飯とお酒の夜をお届けします。
★当日はシルクスクリーンで印刷可能な素材（Tシャツ、長袖シャツ、ボタンダウンシャツ、カバン等）をお持ちください。インクは濃系（黒又は紺）、白、そして蛍光ピンクを用意する予定です。同色系で刷ると（紺インク×黒シャツ、白インク×白シャツ）カッコよく出来上がると思います。また同じイメージのステッカーも配布していますので、欲しい方は 喫茶はなれまでご連絡ください。日本と世界のいろんな街にこのイメージを広めていくつもりです。その過程はこちらでご覧ください。もちろん、パーティー会場には大量に準備しています。

"hanare," a weekly café and project space, will present the night of workshop/party. The main event of the night will be silk-screening the image above, accompanied by video projection, music, dance, and great food & drinks.

★Bring anything (t-shirts, long-sleeved and button-down shirts, cotton bags etc) that has a flat surface with a printable fabric. We'll have a dark color, either black or navy, white, and fluorescent pink ink available at the party, and we highly recomend that you print a darker ink on dark color shirts as well as white ink on white shirts. If you want a sticker with the same image, please email Kissa Hanare. Your can look at our ambitious plan of spreading this image within Japan and cities aross the world. We will have dozens of stickers available at the party too.

4649 Project :
この画像は、憲法９条という文化を守り、発展させていくのに、鳩やピースマークにはもう飽きたので、それ以外の方法で伝えられる方法を模索し、そして、自分達が大事だと思う事を自分達のやり方で伝えたい、それだけを考えて作りました。私たちの意図に賛同してくれる方はもちろん、「軍隊を持ってはやく戦いにいきたい！」と思っている方も歓迎しますので、是非遊びにきてください。このイメージが日本だけではなくて、世界に広がるように、いろいろ企んでいます。

4649 Project :
As a part of our weekly café project, hanare, we are planning to have a t-shirt silk-screening party on Nov.12, in which we will print an image of Japanese gangster with the statement written also in the gangster style font that opposes amendment of the Article 9 of the Japanese constitution, which prohibits Japan from possessing any military force and use it to solve international conflicts (please read the actual text below). The article 9 is in a way, an apology for neighboring countries for what Japan did before and during WWII, as well as a promise that we will never become a militaristic country again. The Japanese government has been attempting to transform the beautiful part of this constitution for a long time, yet have met huge opposition from Japanese people. Since Koizumi, however, the danger of the article being amended has been greater than ever, and making the image like this is our way of responding to the issues surrounding the Article 9, besides voting. We also hope to open up a possibility of visual resistance culture in Japan by experimenting with unconventional images.

Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes.
In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.

金継ぎのワークショップ/ Pottery Doctor workshop
今日は金継ぎのワークショップを行いました。米粒と漆を混ぜて陶器に塗ったり、いろいろ目から鱗な作業であることが発覚。今日は第１工程を終えて、この状態のままあと一週間乾かします。最終的に金を塗るまでもう少し時間が掛かりそうです。割れたりヒビが入った陶器を金で修復（というか、全く別なものに生まれ変わらせる）するというアイデアが素敵。昔の人は本当に生活の楽しみ方を知ってはったのだというよい例です。おばあちゃんから貰った湯のみがどのように生まれ変わるのか、楽しみながら待つことにしよう。金継ぎキットを常備しているので、金継ぎをしてみたいという人は随時、陶器をお持ちください。

We did "Pottery Doctor" workshop tonight. The first process we experienced tonight was to paint cracked parts of our cup and plates with　the paste, which consists of lacquer and cooked rice(!). We have to wait until they dry out completely, and repeat the same process for few more times before moving to the next step. After the first one is done, we will be able to paint the cups and plates with pure gold paste. This process makes me admire people in the past that they know how to be playful and enjoy their life.
