伝統的木造建築物の耐震性評価技術の開発
日本各地には、神社仏閣などの伝統的建築物や歴史的・文化的価値を持つ町並みが多く存在します。これらの伝統的建築物やその町並みは、そこに住む人々の生活文化の基盤であるとともに、重要な観光資源です。一方、我が国は地震国であり、伝統的建築や町並みを自身の被害から守る必要があります。

 

そこで、木造建築物の大変動挙動を高精度に予測できる解析プログラムを開発し、文化財建物や町家などの任意の伝統構法による木造建築物の耐震性能を評価し、伝統的建築物の文化財的価値を損なわないよう、最適の補強位置や個別の耐震補強法を検討する手順を提案しています。

Technological Development of Evaluation of Seismic Performance of Japanese Traditional Wooden Structures

All over Japan there are many traditional architectural structures such as shrines and temples, as well as townscapes with historical and cultural value. These form the foundations of the lifestyles of the people living in the local communities, and are also important resources for tourism. However, Japan is also a nation with frequent earthquakes, necessitating the protection of these traditional architectures and historical buildings from damage.

 

We have developed mapping software that can measure the behavior of wooden structures in earthquakes with a high degree of precision. Using this to evaluate the seismic performance of wooden structures built using certain traditional construction methods, including cultural properties and machiya historical town houses, we then suggest methodologies that consider the optimal position of reinforcements and individual seismic reinforcing procedures, while ensuring that there is no interference with the cultural value of the traditional architecture.
