「Art Work: A National Conversation
about Art, Labor, and Economics」という新聞/サイトについてのオープンディスカッションイベントです。
「Art Work: A National Conversation
about Art, Labor, and Economics」
Art Work is a newspaper and accompanying website that consists of
writings and images from artists, activists, writers, critics, and
others on the topic of working within depressed economies and how that
impacts artistic process, compensation and artistic property. The
newspaper is distributed for free at sites and from people throughout
the United States and Puerto Rico. It is also available by mail order
from Half Letter Press for the cost of postage.
Join us on Sunday for a series of presentations and an open discussion
about the newspaper and website "Art Work: A National Conversation
about Art, Labor, and Economics" which Temporary Services organized and
recently launched. This event is several things rolled into one: a
distribution and launch party, a potluck, and a group conversation
which takes the newspaper as its starting point. Many contributors to
this project are based in New York City, so we envision the event
opening with some comments from those who are able to be present. This
is one of several discussion events in the US and internationally in
conjunction with the project.
Blackmarket of Useful Knowledge and Non-Knowledge No. 12
"On Invisible, Unknown and Ghostly Knowledge"
An installation with 100 experts by Hannah Hurtzig / Mobile Academy
I wish I could be there. My friend told me that it was an amzing night. Our superstar, Sami was one of the experts, and Bushar was working on the production team. The funny story is that Bushar was in charge of buying the 100 card stands, with numbering up to 100 because there are 100 experts, but, but, he forgot to buy the card, No.1........... poor guy. I would go crazy if I were to make the same mistake. ahahahhhah, Bushar, don't worrry it's not the end of the world. I love this project not matter what, but this having it in Yafa is really something special. I'd love to invite them to Kyoto and the do the session???

NEWS! Israel & Palestine become OneState
First international opening of the Embassy in Vienna, 29/09/09
OneState Ambassadors Tal Adler & Osama Zatar will announce the opening of the Embassy in the MQ in Vienna, at studio 613, with a press conference and a diplomatic performance. The event will be streamed online and projected simultaneously in a few locations in OneState (previously known as Palestine and Israel). http://www.ritesinstitute.org/onestate/
This is the Website of OneState Embassy in Vienna Ambassadors Osama Zatar and Tal Adler have appointed themselves as first Ambassadors of OneState in June 2009, in the lack of any other diplomatic services at that time. OneState Embassy in Vienna became the first Embassy to represent OneState globally.
Extremely positive reactions in Palestine and Israel as well as in Austria, encouraged the ambassadors to search for a suitable property for the new embassy. A beautiful garden house on approximately 3000 sq' meters land in 167 Sieveringerstrasse in the 19th district in Vienna was then obtained and construction works on the property begun.
The official announcement of the Embassy will be held in the temporary offices of the Embassy, on 29th September 2009, in office 613, Hof 7, Museums Quartier, Vienna. The Diplomatic Performance will begin with a ceremony followed by a briefing in three or four languages and a short session of question and answers. Media from all over Austria has been invited for the Diplomatic Performance, and the whole event will be video-recorded and streamed online in this website. The streaming will be projected in a few institution in OneState (previously known as Israel and Palestine).
The Embassy will initiate events, invite guests, extend diplomatic relations and continue to develop the infrastructures to represent OneState globally.

Writing
There are so many stories of what I saw, heard, experienced in Israel and Palestine. But I haven't been able to find time to digest and put into words. Luckly I will be gone to the area near Kyoto, middle of nowhere, for several days, where there is no internet service or cell phone reception. I am hoping to find time there and continue the blog that was stopped in the middle of the project.... I don't know how many people are reading this blog a day, 5? 10? who cares! I am so determined to write.... Check back soon.
