Keeping up appearances 世間体を取り繕っている

This exhibition is about keeping up appearances and society’s expectations that lead to the continual struggle for prestige. To explore this idea in a playful way, we decided to make an experiential art event.

We invite you to discover both the interiors and exteriors of the objects we have made in our miniature landscape. There will also be sports games such as boxing, darts, mini golf and kumitaiso. 

Please come, enjoy and be a part of it! 

Rowan Rose Shaw is a research student in the printmaking department of Kyoto Seika University and Yamuna Bambi Valenta is a practical PhD student at Kyoto University of Art and Design.

この展示では、世間体を取り繕うことをテーマとしています。 

世間の期待があるために、常に人々は名声を得ようともがいている。

遊び心ある方法でこの問題を追究するため、私たちは体験型のアートイベントを作ることにしました。

今回の私たちの作品であるミニチュアの風景を通したその内と外の再発見と、ボクシングやダーツ、ミニゴルフ、組体操などのスポーツゲームを体験してください。

ロワン•ローズ•ショーは京都精華大学で版画の研究を、ヤムナ•バンビ•ヴァレンタは京都造形芸術大学で博士論文執筆および作品制作をしている。
